Guide to use HTC Zoodles Kid mode app for fun games
Zoodles is exclusive HTC Kid mode featuring thousands of free learning games and videos to enjoy. Besides games this mode also serves as an educational tutorial lessons for kids and adults, offering maths, science in an interactive video games format. HTC mobiles Kid modes is available and syncs on all of your devices for easy access when you need it. This means Zoodles works on all iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches running 3.0 or higher. It also works on Android devices running 1.6 or higher. Note that if your device does not run Flash, Zoodles will not be able to display any games, and your child will only receive videos in their Playground.
How to get started with HTC Zoodles Kid mode app?
You can pick any of your mobile device or PC or Tablet and download the Zoodles App.
If you cannot get the free app then click here to get Zoodles on your device.
Click on the blue Zoodles icon once done and you will need an email address in order to play on Zoodles to get started.
- Your kids age will be asked to fill the playground with the age appropriate content or videos. You don’t need to give your kids name or other privacy concern details.
- You have to click “Login” in the top right corner. After logging in, you will be taken to the Zoodles Parent Dashboard where you can customize and control all your child’s activities.
- Want to add more persons to this app simply visit www.zoodles.com/parent/family and click “Add a Person”
With family connect features, Zoodles allows you as as parent to invite close friends and family members into your child’s Family. The people you invite will be able to read to your child, see and share their drawings, and send them video mail. You should only invite people that you trust into your child’s Family.
Now your kid or you can play fun games or learn educational lessons.
If you want to exit the app then it depends on the device you are using.
- To close the Zoodles Computer App, simply press the ESC key, or click the X icon in the top right corner of the window. You will then have to type “QUIT” to exit the app.
- To exit the Zoodles Android App, you’ll need to double tap the Back button on your phone and trace the “Z” on the screen.
- To exit the Zoodles App for iPhone/iPod or iPad, you can simply tap the “Home” button on your device.
Features of Zoodles Kid Mode
Zoodles Kid Mode lets you give your child permission to play Android apps and games from inside Kid Mode. When you launch Kid Mode, click the “Parent Dashboard” link at the bottom of the child selection screen. You can then use the “Apps” button on the Parent Dashboard to add native apps to your child’s experience. You will also need to enable Child Lock, which locks the Home Button while Kid Mode is running. If Child Lock is not on, native apps will not be shown in the Games tab.
There are also story books feature and you can record yourself reading a classic story and your child will be able to watch the reading in their Playground.
Note that Zoodles give every family one Free storybook that you can read and record for your child. Families that would like more books can either buy them one at a time or upgrade to a Premium Member to gain access to all the books. Any recordings you make as a Premium Member are yours to keep. To do an audio-only recording of a storybook all you need to do is visit Books page and and click “Record a Reading.” When you see the message, “Unable to detect a video camera,” simply click the blue link that says, “I don’t have one” to proceed with an audio-only recording.
There is another feature called video mail. Video Mail lets distant family members stay in touch with the young ones in their lives. People who have been invited to connect with a child on Zoodles can send them short, personal video messages that the child will then see in their Zoodles Playground. As a parent, you can send storybook recordings and video messages by visiting the Parent Dashboard and clicking “Record a Reading” or “Send a Video Message!”
Anyone who joins Zoodles will also be given a free 14 day trial of Premium Membership. Once the free trial expires, you will automatically be downgraded to a free Basic user, and your family can continue using the downloaded app for free.
For parents who want a more proactive role in their child’s development, they can get an optional paid Premium Membership which lets parents block ads, promote subjects, set time limits, and much more. Premium Membership costs $7.95/month, $39.95 for 6 months and $59.95 for the entire year.
